Privacy policy
Everything is analyzed on your device. Aeris collects no personal data.
1. Who is responsible?
Aeris is published by Adnene Hamdouni, a sole trader operating under the trade name Isquare (see the legal notice). For any question about this policy: contact@aerisclean.app.
2. The essentials
- Everything is analyzed locally on your device (iPhone, Android or Mac).
- No personal data is collected by Aeris, and none is sent to our servers or to third parties.
- No ads and no trackers, in the app and on this site.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google.
- The free quota (500 MB of cleanup) is stored locally on your device.
3. What Aeris reads on your device, and why
To do its job, Aeris must examine some content on your device. This examination happens on the device and its results are not transmitted.
| Content | Why | Platforms |
|---|---|---|
| Photos and videos (including their sizes) | Detect similar photos, screenshots and large videos. Similarity detection is local. | iPhone, Android |
| Contacts | Spot duplicate entries so you can merge or delete them. | iPhone, Android |
| Calendar | List old events you can delete. | iPhone, Android |
| Storage space and battery state | Show available space and device health. | iPhone, Android |
| Mac files and folders (caches, logs, development files, Trash, browsers, applications, processes and launch agents) | Find junk, duplicates (SHA-256 fingerprint), large files, app leftovers and performance items; check names of known adware families and code signatures. | Mac |
Access to this content goes through system permissions (photos, contacts, calendar, file access on Mac). You can refuse or withdraw them at any time in your device settings; some features then become unavailable.
4. What we do not collect
Aeris does not collect: your identity, e-mail address, location, photos, contacts, events, the list of your files or apps, advertising identifiers, usage statistics or crash reports. The app contains no ads, no audience-measurement tool and no trackers.
5. Data stored on your device
Aeris stores locally only what it needs to work, notably the amount already cleaned under the 500 MB free quota. This information stays on your device and is removed if you uninstall the app.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Aeris Pro purchases (monthly or yearly subscription, lifetime purchase) are made through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google processes your payment, billing identity and subscription management under its own privacy policy. Aeris receives neither your card number nor your payment details. Checking the status of a purchase is handled by the platform's services.
7. Deleting browser data on Mac
The Privacy feature can delete the history, cookies and caches of your browsers. These deletions are permanent and happen on your Mac, after your confirmation; Aeris keeps no copy.
8. This website
This site sets no cookies and uses no audience measurement, no external fonts or resources and no trackers (see the cookie policy). Like any web server, the host (Hostinger International Ltd) may keep technical logs (for example the IP address and timestamp of a request) for security and operation; these logs are subject to its own policy.
The site's forms (contact, GDPR request) send nothing: they prepare an e-mail in your mail app. If you write to us, we use your address and the content of your message only to reply (see GDPR and your rights).
9. Security
Local processing greatly limits risk: your content passes through no Aeris server. The Mac version is signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple. Deletions are always confirmed by the user; on Mac they go to the Trash (undoable) except for the Trash itself and browser data.
10. Children
Aeris is not specifically aimed at children and collects no personal data, including from minors.
11. Transfers outside the European Union
Aeris sends no personal data, so we make no transfers. Processing carried out by Apple or Google (payment, subscription) is governed by their own rules.
12. Your rights
You have the rights provided by the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection) and the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL. See GDPR and your rights, which also states that Aeris holds no data about you.
13. Changes
We may update this policy, notably if a feature changes. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page; any change affecting our core commitments (local analysis, no collection) will be clearly flagged.
